Therapeutic Philosophy
Alex believes in recognizing the strengths you already have, and using them as a springboard to reach your goals. She often uses Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps people learn to make room for the difficult emotions that come up even as they work to move forward. ACT is also rooted in identifying personal values and using them as a compass for choices and behavior.
Other therapeutic models used include:
Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT)
Relational Life Therapy(RLT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Confidentiality
Participating in therapy is an exercise in vulnerability. Alex has tremendous respect for your right to confidentiality, and follows federal and state laws regarding your privacy. She is happy to answer questions about how confidentiality is protected in her practice.
